The research conducted in the Laboratory of Proteomics and Metabolomics includes two main areas: proteomic and metabolomic studies of biological objects, as well as the study of photochemical reactions involving biological molecules.
The laboratory is equipped with the most modern mass spectrometric and photochemical equipment, which allows using a wide range of physicochemical methods for metabolomic profiling of biological samples and other tasks. Detailed analysis of metabolites can reveal the molecular mechanisms of disease development and associated markers.
Our laboratory has developed an approach based on the combined application of NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry, which allows us to establish concentration values of a wide range of metabolites in biological tissues, and software for HPLC-MS data processing has been developed.
