    Laboratory of Photochemical Radical Reactions

The Laboratory of Photochemical Radical Reactions at the ITC SB RAS studies chemical reactions involving short-lived radicals, as well as the properties of diamagnetic and spin systems in biologically significant molecules. The main focus is on increasing the sensitivity of NMR measurements, investigating the mechanisms of nuclear spin hyperpolarization generation and utilization, and the interactions of small molecules with macromolecules. In 2016, the laboratory staff developed and patented a rapid magnetic field switching technology based on a high-field NMR spectrometer, enabling the creation of hyperpolarized biologically important compounds that could be used in the future for oncology screening via MRI, as well as for detecting and visualizing metabolic process pathologies within the body
